Melissa Academy

The project Melissa Academy aims at discovering young talents. The contest was carried out in association with the High College of Art and Design (Haute Ecole D’art Et Design), in which 24 students took part in workshops and at the end created their own models.

The best 3 won the production of their Melissas, which will be launched in limited edition for the winter collection 2011.

In Brazil, Melissa has already announced association with Unisinos and Senai.

Grafia at November’s Exam PME

In an interview to Exame PME, our Directors Luciano, Cristiano and Simone disclose a part of our history, how everything started and how worthy it was to believe in an idea and not giving up when getting “no” as an answer.
We are proud and eager to expand further and further. Read part of Luciano’s statement:
“Unlike most of our competitors, who design, build up the site and deliver it to the client for him to operate, Grafia does everything. ‘We buy the products and resell them to e-stores with the client’s name’, he says.”
And that’s it. Here at Grafia, we wash, iron and make success too.

Grafia congratulates thirty-year-old Melissa

In 2009, Melissa completed 30 years and a huge celebration was planned and organised in order to commemorate this date in great style.

An exhibition called “Me Melissa”, under the direction of Érika Palomino, was held between the 28th of October and the 15th of November, 2009, in which Solar Real, in the Santa Teresa neighbourhood in Rio de Janeiro, served as the perfect location for setting the Melissa’s future course.

The Grafia team did not miss out on the preview of this celebration on the 27th of October in the form of an exclusive party for guests. Obviously, we covered the event by relaying all its details to the followers of @sigamelissa with the special help of the brand’s fan bloggers.

Even those who weren’t there were able to see a photo preview, in real time, of what was awaiting everyone in the Santa Tereza neighbourhood. Certainly the most special events for 2009!

The results were great: before publicising the coverage of the party and the award ceremony for Melissas during the event, we had 6624 followers and after two days this grew by 7.6% to 7126 followers.
