Christmas online moves R $ 2.2 billion, 40% more in Brazil

According to e-bit, online sales between 15th November and 24th December moved 2.2 billion reais (Brazilian legal currency) in the Brazilian market; 40% more than same period in 2009 (1.6 billion reais).

In all, over six million orders were made in the Christmas Season. The champion category as regards sales was Appliances, followed by Computing; Health, Beauty and Medicines; Books; and Electronics.

The average bill was 370 reais. The sales peak took place on 14th December, with 224 thousand orders.
